Mold Mutts K-9 Mold Detection services

Mold Mutts offers comprehensive Professional Mold inspection services. We do not perform mold remediation, so we are unbiased in our search. Our fee is not based on how much mold we find, so you can feel confident that you are getting the best value for your money.

Our inspection integrates the following three phases, to provide you with the most accurate, most reliable information about mold in your home or office. By providing accurate information, we can help save you money on remediation (mold removal) costs significantly.

1. Industry standard Visual Inspection. This is the inspection that all mold inspectors perform. We are certified by the American Indoor Air Quality Council and a member of the Indoor Air Quality Association, Inc. to perform a thorough inspection for structural defects, signs of past or present water intrusion, and signs of active or past mold colonization. We can evaluate the potential for mold growth in your home, office, or building.

2. Industry standard Bioaerosol Sampling and Surface Sampling. We provide both viable and non-viable air sampling services based on the client’s needs, and on the findings from our other inspection methods. We are fully trained and certified to collect, handle, and interpret both air and surface samples, ensuring you get the most accurate information possible.

3. Canine Inspection. Used in conjunction with the other investigation methods, canine inspection enables us to locate and pinpoint hidden mold that cannot be found in any other way. If there is mold hidden behind your drywall, a visual inspection will not find it. Air sampling will give a general idea that mold may be present. But only using the amazing nose of a dog can we locate exactly where the mold is. This saves you from having to do costly remediation (mold removal) of a whole room, when only one wall may be affected. The bottom line is that using “Scout” will save you money.

Cutting-Edge Technology. The "Nose" is cutting-edge technology and the latest trend in the home inspection industry. It's the only inspection tool that can detect and pinpoint sources of mold - critical information for lowering costs.

Proven and Trusted. “Man’s best friend” has been used for years by military and law enforcement agencies to detect bombs and drugs, among other things. In Europe, dogs have been used to detect mold for over 20 years.

Effective Problem Solvers. For REALTORS® concerned about escrow timelines, Mold Dogs can quickly and more accurately inspect a home, which gives both parties the feedback they need to quickly and effectively resolve issues.

Make sure you get the real thing! Not all "Mold Dogs" are created equal. Make sure you ask the business if the dog is a true "Mold Dog", trained and certified by the Florida Canine Academy. There are many canine scent trainers, but only dogs trained at the FCA and maintained to its tough standards can truly be referred to as "Mold Dogs." Bill Whitstine of the Florida Canine Academy developed mold training methods, after years of training bomb, drug, and arson dogs. Scout is a graduate of Bill's training, and he receives continuous follow-on training, including quarterly certification by the FCA. To get the services of a true Mold Dog, make sure you ask these questions!
